Headshots & Wedding Photography – Grand Rapids & Greenville Mi
I have been in ArtPrize 6 times! I love photographing weddings and believe that it is an artform. My wife and I both cherish the photos we have from our wedding day.
Photographs can document the most important events of our lives and capture the sweetest moments. However, wedding photography needs to do even more than that.
My goal is to produce photos that not only document the event, but reflect the personality and essence of each couple. Wedding photos are some the most beautiful, treasured pictures you could ever own, and they should be nothing short of art.
I have been asked if I do journalistic style weddings, and
the answer is yes. I have not been asked to do an entire wedding that way yet. Most
couples want at least some portraits. If your wedding vision is to get an
entire wedding memorialized in a journalistic style, I would love to do one
like that. It needs to be more than just a guest with a phone however. The photographer
needs to be able to anticipate and capture the moments, scenes and beauty that tell the
story of your wedding day.
At this time, I am only doing a few weddings per year. If you are interested in wedding photography, please contact me with details about the event.

Great wedding photos are no accident, it takes planning!
Your big day goes by quickly, and I want to make sure that you best photography possible. Before the wedding, we can arrange a time to meet at my office or over the phone to discuss the wedding plans and what your dream photos look like. Wedding planners, parents, and anyone else involved with the wedding plans are also welcome to join in the conversation.
In addition to coverage of the event and portraits for the bride & groom, wedding party, and family, there are a few other photo options we can discuss.
First Look Session- Many couples prefer to do portraits before the ceremony when there is more time available. If this is something that interests you, there are variety ways we can still capture that special “first look” moment.
Photo With the Guests- This is a specialty shot I first did for my son’s wedding. The couple and all the guests will be together in one photo. It turns out great every time, and people always love it!
Videography- In addition to photographs, I also offer video of the ceremony and / or reception.
Drone Photos and Video– Let’s discuss your vision
Your big day will go by faster than you could ever imagine, and it shouldn’t all be spent getting photos.
Photo shoots after the wedding allow us to work at a more relaxed pace and give you much more flexibility when it comes to location. Some couples want stunning sunset pictures on a lake. Others are more interested in a covered bridge, or at a turn of the century home. Taking pictures after dark in downtown Grand Rapids is another favorite. By getting creative with the location, time of day, and weather, we can achieve truly remarkable and unique images.
